These Bags are made Heavy Duty. The inner shell is 18 oz Tonneau cover

 material sewn inside a Sunbrella shell in the color you select.

The side hems contain Brass Grommets to allow lacing the bags into the standing rigging of your sailboat or fastening to the inside of your lockers. The cover flap is oversized to facilitate closure with Hook & Loop strips.

These Bike Bags are Very Strong, we haven’t holed the inside liner in the 16 years of hard use.

Innovative Ideas using Traditional Canvas

We tested our Bike Bags over the 16 years we sailed the Great Lakes. The total of 8500 nautical miles. This testing was sometimes calm, but we had our share of storms and BIG waves. The pictures below are not the biggest waves we have experienced. These are only 10 to 12 feet, even if they don’t look that high. Pictures of waves are deceiving. The day we came back for Georgian bay, we started in 6 footers and finished in Port Elgin. Just before we came over the 80 foot shelf south of Southampton, winds were in excess of 40 knots and we were in 15 to 20 footers. We just recently made ourselves a new set of replacement bags since we are planning a new cruise next year back to Lake Michigan, down Wisconsin to Chicago and back up the Michigan side.
